Special Wedding Anniversary Present
I had the privilege of creating a bespoke pair of cufflinks recently, for a wife to give to her loving husband, to help mark their 25th wedding anniversary in a special way. The traditional gift for a 25th wedding anniversary is silver so this is where we began. In the design she also wanted to include their initials C +J, mention their four children and to design the cufflinks with the idea of the design being made into a matching pendant for her later in mind.
First, I got to work drawing up some sketches and until we designed one that she knew her husband would love!
I designed their initials C & J in Celtic form, they swirl around each other to meet in the centre like Yin and Yang, the perfect male and female partnership, that their marriage has been for 25 years.
The cufflinks are complete with four 14ct gold balls on the side, represent their children, in a subtle yet special way.
I was very happy with the design and the way it turned out. It ticked all the boxes and led to an enigmatic pair of cufflinks, a real talking point for the wearer. My client was delighted with them and excited about giving them to her husband. He loved them too!
