Bringing An Old Military Brooch Back To Life!
A customer came to me with a photo and a very special request!
They wanted to recreate an old Military Brooch that meant a lot to them and bring it back to life. A grainy black and white photograph of the design was all we had to work with, but I’m always up for a challenge!
They wanted to recreate an old Military Brooch that meant a lot to them and bring it back to life. A grainy black and white photograph of the design was all we had to work with, but I’m always up for a challenge!
First, I got to work on the base of the brooch, adding more wire detailing as a progressed.
The brooch is starting to take shape with a silver sterling Tri-Spiral symbol crafted for the centre of the base.
When creating this piece I decided to create each individual element of the Military Brooch by hand first, as it can be tricky with lots of different pieces!
Once each element was complete and we were both happy with them it was time to start locking them into place!
A closer look at the detail and depth in this unique Military Brooch.
From a grainy black and white photograph to the finished piece – I recreated the Old Military Brooch and brought it back to its former glory.
The finished Bespoke Military Brooch all polished and shining, ready to be sent out to a delighted customer. A very tricky handmade piece, but the end result makes all the hours worthwhile!
If you would like to create your own special piece to mark a special occasion, for you or loved one, please feel free to get in touch and I will be happy to help!
