Bog Book Small Page Pendant With 14ct Gold Letter
Sterling Silver Bog Book Small Page pendant, with 14ct Gold letter.
Based on an ancient psalm book called the 'Fadden More Psalter', that was found in 2006, after spending 1000 years in a bog in Tipperary Ireland, 15% of the book was saved.
I created this collection for the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin, to commemorate this incredible find.
Choose any letter and I will hand cut it out (with fine jewellery saw) in Celtic style, from 0.5mm 14ct gold sheet, and solder it onto the Bog Book page.
Please state what letter you wish, in the note section at checkout, when placing your order.
This is a very beautiful piece and wearable for all occasions.
Measures 17mm X 16mm & hung on a 18" Belcher chain.
I was so impressed by my first piece of lrish jewellery The Bog Book, it is beautifully crafted not just on the front of it but also on the back that l wish l could express how great it is. Well it says it all that l ordered 3 more of it for my grandchildren. The service and time scale and the friendliness of Elena was 10 out of 10. Thank you so very much for something that will be in the family for many many years.
Thanks a million Pauline, for your beautiful review!! You're brilliant!!
I really appreciate it.
Thanks again, best wishes,
It was a stroke of luck finding Elena's line devoted to the Fadden More psalter (the "Bog Book"), as I needed to find something special for a forthcoming family event. (What's the family connexion? We used to cut to turf in Fadden back when we lived there. Unfortunately the only thing we dug up was turf -- oy vey! --- but maybe the pendant will bring us luck :) Anyway, I'm really pleased with the book-themed pendant that arrived today; the attention to detail really pays dividends. A book found in a bog is not an obvious basis for a jewellry collection, so full marks for innovation and lateral thinking!
Long story short: it's great to be able to source quality jewellry that has a local theme and means something to the people of the locality. Keep up the good work!
