Fionnuala was the only girl among the four Lir siblings (Fionnuala, Conn, Aodh and Fiachra) and it is said in the legends that she protected her brothers throughout the 900 years of their enchantment. She sheltered them from the harsh winds piercing cold and cutting sleet that came from the North Irish seas when on the sea of Moyle. She encouraged them and gave them hope and the strength to carry on and endure their desperate fate.

She is here in this beautiful sterling silver pendant as the larger swan, cherishing the three smaller ones. The spirals represent the three seas upon which the swans lived for 900 years. A perfect piece for many different occasions, or just because you love it, as I do!

The Children of Lir pendant can be ordered either flat or domed and comes on an 18" strong chain. Longer chain available on request.

Beautiful meaningful piece

I was lucky enough to receive this as a gift. I am not a huge silver fan but since I received it I have worn it constantly... Its body weight is beautiful not too heavy but I know its there... The fact that it is sterling silver feels "right" against my skin. I just love it. Not to mention the story behind it while its haunting... its beautiful in its intent... the love of fionnuala for her siblings. Every time I look at it I see something different... its Mystical.
